Head of EU Drayage Operations - International Supply Chain

International Supply Chain (ISC) is a digital freight forwarding organization within Wayfair's broader CastleGate Logistics network. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with competitive and convenient logistics solutions. As part of the ISC, you will play a key role in growing and executing on our strategic business lines. This is a highly visible and exciting role and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to lead a core part of our strategic vision. As you pursue strong relationships with ISC suppliers, success will be demonstrated by timely, cost efficient & satisfactory drayage operations while maintaining a high supplier satisfaction

What You'll Do

Manage e2e aspects of drayage/haulage operations across Wayfair’s European geographies
Ensure cost efficiency & timeliness on container delivery to across Wayfair network to Castlegate centres & our partner warehouses
Proactively source new dray carriers in our markets and work with procurement team to operationalize them in our markets
Work cross functionally with Sales & Service teams to maximize customer NPS
Run performance management & planning processes with our drayage carriers along with procurement to ensure our goals are being met
Identify & work with our technical team, to continuously improve operations efficiency using technology
Size and build out team based on future business potential

What You'll Need

10+ years of drayage operations experience in Europe and building teams of 5+ people
Strong network & contacts in drayage market with carriers in UK, Germany, France, Spain & Benelux
Ability to collaborate cross functionally across multiple geographies and cultures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – confident, concise, and ability to influence internal/external partners as well as leadership
Collaborative self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment with a certain level of ambiguity
Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
Ability to lead through influence and work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
Reasonable degree of comfort using Excel and Powerpoint to work with data and communicate ideas
