Who We Are:

We are looking for a senior strategic leader to head our Onsite Marketing team in Europe. We currently operate in the UK and Germany and are exploring strategic expansions. 

We reach millions of customers every day in Europe, and specifically the Onsite Marketing channel is a perfect symbiosis of Brand and Performance Marketing, constantly seeking technological innovation to drive our ambitious agenda of becoming the destination for all things home. 

The Onsite channel houses our most valuable landing page experiences, e.g. homepage, saleshub, category pages etc.. The challenge for this new leader will be to build the perfect end-to-end user experience across all European geographies and verticals (e.g. B2B), focusing on direct conversion while also building an integrated content strategy to drive customer retention and engagement. 

In this exciting and high-impact role: you will directly manage and guide a team of 4-6  including managers (to start with, growing over time as the business grows), and partner tightly with a wide range of cross-functional colleagues: leadership of our Storefront, Engineering, Creative, Brand Management, Promotions, Customer Service teams and more. You will also be an integral member of our global senior leadership team for Onsite Marketing and co-refine our vision for elevating the customer experience.

The Marketing team is a diverse and international team of customer advocates who enjoy moving fast and taking creative risks. Our Berlin-based team owns and operates a full suite of marketing channels in Europe including Onsite, Email, Push Notifications, TV, Google, Facebook, Instagram and more.  

What you will do: 

  • Own end-to-end channel management for the Onsite Marketing channel in Europe: strategy, team management, performance monitoring, reporting etc. 
  • Co-refine our global vision for elevating the customer experience - e.g., share of voice strategies, perfect landing page experience, editorial content, balance of inspirational and promotional messaging etc. 
  • Directly lead a team of 4-6 (including managers) in data-driven strategy development, testing innovations and understanding drivers of channel performance
  • Plan and coordinate expansion of your channels to new segments (e.g. B2B) and markets 
  • Partner closely with the leadership of our inhouse Storefront and Engineering teams to shape the next version our global world-class onsite platform and enhance our user and customer experience
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues from US and Europe including Creative, Brand, Promotions, Storefront and Engineering etc. to deliver on your vision 

What you will need:

  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced cross-functional environment, and taking good decisions with imperfect information
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including but not limited to hypothesis-driven problem solving for complex multi-layer problems
  • At least 8 - 10 years of work experience
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor style based on audience
  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative field of study: math, sciences, economics, or business
  • Senior leadership experience in e-commerce or management consulting preferred
  • Nice to have - relevant experience in onsite marketing, proficiency with German language
