Network Management team was conceived to solve the challenging, cross-functional problems that are plentiful in a complex and flexible supply chain, and coordinate across groups to ensure that strategies, metrics, and goals are aligned. Delivery speed has consistently been shown to drive fundamental e-commerce metrics like add to cart, page views, and conversion. Being able to promise and enable that speed promise requires carefully choreographed activities like the placement of the product in the storefront, setting up delivery promises with carriers, operationalizing fulfillment with the current lead times, and, last but not least, positioning inventory to optimize for selection, speed, capacity, reliability, and cost.

 

Wayfair is looking for a passionate and accomplished leader with proven experience in operations, driving organizational change, and developing new, innovative ideas to drive capacity management at all of our facilities. As Head of Capacity Management, you will drive key initiatives that ensure fulfillment capacity availability that will optimize across cost, speed, and reliability. This is a unique role in Wayfair that operates at the intersection of fulfillment operations, category planning, and inventory management. A successful Head of Capacity Management will collaboratively work with Fulfillment Centers, Partner Operations, and Transportation. What You’ll Do
Work closely with Further Wayfair vision on speed to customer and reduction in cost to supplier and Wayfair
Enhance the understanding of network capacity by rack and product types
Identify capacity bottlenecks in the fulfillment network and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to mitigate any risks
Work flexibly with key stakeholders to mitigate these risks across different planning time horizons (near, medium, and long term)
Serve as key thought partner and orchestrate execution of any strategic projects that have implications on overall network capacity
Develop a comprehensive vision/capacity strategy to support overall growth of the castlegate fulfillment network
Create and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and SLAs for capacity planning, mitigation, and strategy execution
Co-ordinate implementation of site specific SLAs

Guide inventory positioning strategy to enable capacity requirements for inventory depth and breadth requirements
Relentlessly focus and drive/support large scale transformation projects in operations and supply chainWhat You’ll Need
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline
7-10+ years of experience in supply chain operations, technology
Capacity management expertise across strategic and tactical horizons
Proven track record of leadership, tenacious and accountable in driving results
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish
Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams across a broad range of levels to be highly effective both in terms of impact and team culture
