Head of Technology Technical Recruiting

In this role you will lead a Talent Acquisition team, supporting Wayfair's rapidly scaling Technology organization. You will help Wayfair hire the next generation of innovative technical leaders across Software Engineering, Product Management, Design, Machine Learning, Data Science and Algorithmic development. Reporting to our Global Head of Executive Search, you will partner with our CTO and their staff as the trusted talent advisor for hiring the best technical minds across the globe. Help us continue building a scalable technical recruiting practice, with best in class strategy, and advance our ambitious roadmap to reinvent ecommerce. We are looking for an innovative talent leader who has experience in building and developing search strategies in a high growth environment, someone who can help us reinvent the way we attract and nurture talent, and define what leadership looks like as we scale. 

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Wayfair’s senior most leaders to design, build, execute and iterate a strategic, data driven, and multi-year hiring plan.
  • Grow and lead a team of senior technology recruiters/sourcers/managers with a focus on programmatic approaches to identifying and attracting the world’s leading technical minds. 
  • Create market mapping and advanced research strategies to build and maintain a diverse, proactive pipeline of top technical leadership talent in anticipation of future needs.
  • Use data and strong business acumen to solve complex, global talent supply issues, consult with leaders on organizational development, strategic talent gaps, and potential acqui-hire opportunities.  
  • Define and execute innovative leadership evaluation tools along with a differentiated candidate experience, positioning Wayfair as a destination employer.
  • Foster an environment of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continued learning where the status quo is questioned and ideas for improvement are championed and continually explored.
  • Play a critical role in the ongoing development of Wayfair Talent as a strategic function, acting as a trusted partner to leaders across Wayfair and continually redefining how we do business.

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of experience leading technical, full-cycle recruiting teams. 
  • Proven success delivering innovating sourcing and recruiting methods within a technical, high growth environment.
  • Experience creating and executing a comprehensive growth strategy at scale in partnership with c-suite technical executives.
  • Familiarity and comfort with a data driven environment, ability to use metrics to guide decision-making, desire to move fast in the face of ambiguity and take calculated risks when required.
  • Desire to continually reinvent a function, influence peers and customers to drive better outcomes, and have a long term impact.
