The role of the Global CastleGate Trade Services (CGTS) Lead will be responsible for creating strategy and execution for global CGTS including but not limited to the clearing of shipments and imported goods. You can expect your duties to include the following:

  • Responsible for creating policies and tech systems on all aspects of the Customs Brokerage Department: carry out customs entry and perform good customer service
  • Maintenance of customs clearance process & trucking in time to achieve the growth and the profit objectives of the company
  • Maintain and monitor all customs licenses and certificates, ensuring they are kept up to date.
  • Develop and maintain both new and existing customer relationships, promoting the company’s services.
  • Manage and offer advice on custom legislation where necessary.
  • Consult and provide training where necessary in order to encourage progression within your team.
  • Manage and assist with commercial business development, implementing changes where necessary.
  • Allocate and assign qualified representatives to their relevant departments.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills will be beneficial to a candidate looking to apply for this role:

  • A strong knowledge and experience of UK, US and EU customs regulations with an up to date knowledge of all relevant legislations.
  • A proven previous experience in a customs and VAT multinational environment.
  • Experience in selling logistic solutions.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and great leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge of global customs systems such CHIEF, ACE, ENS etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Customs product/market
  • Collaborative mindset, creative problem solving, analytical skills
  • Strong business and commercial understanding
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication
  • Ability to manage complexity
  • Must work well under pressure handling multiple tasks
  • Understands global supply chain and how customs is an enabler
  • Strong understanding of commercial/sales process

JOB CONTENT & EXECUTION

  • -Align with commercial leadership and develop CGTS sales strategy
  • Define value proposition and differentiators for CGTS product
  • Works closely with sales to develop value propositions for new opportunities. Aligning with tender management to ensure high quality, competitive response to RFI/RFQ’s.
  • Defines growth opportunities by collecting market intelligence
  • Deliver pipeline growth and new revenue in line with the plan
  • Work with the relevant teams (sales, tech, finance etc.) in direct engagement as SME
  • Actively pursue cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop competitive pricing proposals
  • Actively involved in selling and securing new business and customer retention
  • Participate in major accounts’ business reviews
  • Act as the conduit between global customers and customs operations
  • Develop global (NA/CA/EU/UK/SW) content for product training.
  • Responsible for creating processes that execute compliant operation in line with governmental/regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance and standard materials to country execution enablement for local customer requirements and feedback to support product development
