The Wayfair Category Management Team helps drive our business vision with our supplier partners, acting as credible counterparts to execute strategic business decisions. In this role, you will work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to advance your category’s business agenda and have a direct impact on our European business. You will have ownership of one of our categories or product classes and manage key supplier relationships. You will define overarching goals and strategies for your category, problem-solve, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and manage key business KPIs.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of strategically important partners, building and executing strategic roadmaps to drive business impact
  • Identify strategic opportunities for top and bottom line growth within the category and your supplier portfolio and collaborate with internal teams to drive execution
  • Analyse product portfolios and advance catalog expansion; identify selection gaps, find new partners and drive selection addition
  • Undertake market research in your area of focus: analyse and anticipate competitor marketing, selection, and pricing strategy; understand category retail environment
  • Conduct strategic business meetings with your supplier partners at tradeshows, in the office or virtually. 

 

What You'll Need

  • Business fluency in both German and English
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint expertise; knowledge of SQL and Tableau is desirable
  • Structured and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A track record of successful negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions with innovative problem solving
  • A proactive approach to your work, eagerness to progress professionally and genuine motivations to drive business growth
