Who we are

The North America Sales & Service Desk is a new team within the International Supply Chain (ISC) organization that will be responsible for enabling cross-functional partners to bring more suppliers onto Wayfair’s fast-growing freight forwarding services. Collectively known as CastleGate Logistics, these services include our Port-to-Door ocean freight service, our Asia Logistics origin cross-docking operation, and Port-to-Door as a Service, our ocean freight service to suppliers’ own facilities. The NA Sales & Service Desk team will be responsible for enabling the selling of these services to suppliers and also for establishing a centralized support desk to ensure that supplier questions are addressed and their operational issues escalated.

The role

This is a unique opportunity to join a new team and play an instrumental role in building it to suit the needs of CastleGate’s rapidly growing freight forwarding capabilities. At a high level, the sales enablement manager will be responsible for working with the Partner Operations team to bring more CastleGate suppliers onto our freight forwarding services. Additionally, this manager will build the tools to enable the Partner Operations team to drive operational improvements from suppliers. This role will require cross-functional stakeholder management, people management, innovation, and strong quantitative analytical skills. The manager in this position will oversee a sales effort primarily driven by 100+ Partner Operations account leads.

What you’ll do

Develop a cross-functional training curriculum that teaches Partner Operations account leads how to explain the value proposition of CGL freight forwarding services to suppliers
Work with eLearning teams to create CGL freight forwarding training videos to supplement training
Establish a routine cadence of training to capture new members of the Partner Operations organization or those looking to refresh their skills
Partner with ISC Marketing to develop value proposition collateral for CGL services
Build and maintain sales FAQ resources to enable the Partner Operations team to field questions about CGL’s capabilities.
Partner with ISC Control Tower teams to maintain an internal resource site to house training and reference material
Work with analytics teams to develop supplier facing dashboards that Partner Operations account leads can use to drive operational KPI improvements with their suppliers.
Develop supplier success campaigns in partnership with Key Account Management to drive operational improvements with “worst offender” suppliers
Develop a cross-functional training curriculum that covers the basics of account management for freight forwarding to enable the Partner Operations account leads to serve as CGL account managers for non-strategic accounts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, supply chain, consulting, or other fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment; 1+ year of people management experience
Demonstrated record of taking ownership and responsibility for driving successful results
Ability to define scope and build out a clear work plan to investigate and solve ambiguous problems
Experience managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders with competing priorities
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and the management skills to prioritize ruthlessly
Experience working with, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting data with clarity and recommended actions
Experience working in a B2B or B2C sales and/or service environment a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
