The Network Management organization drives the speed, ship cost, inventory positioning, and capacity goals for Wayfair’s North America network, encompassing CastleGate Fulfillment, Wayfair Delivery Network, and Dropship. This organization was conceived to solve the challenging, cross-functional problems that are plentiful in a complex and flexible supply chain, and coordinate across groups to ensure that strategies, metrics, and goals are aligned. 

Within Network Management, the Operations Readiness team oversees and supports the end-to-end performance of the network to effectively execute and deliver against these goals. We serve as the central “control tower” for the network, and as such are also responsible for developing and managing core supply chain processes, including Sales & Operations Planning and Business Outcome Reviews. 

As a Manager on Operations Readiness, you will be asked to support the development and implementation of core supply chain planning & management processes for North America. Working together with the head of Operations Readiness, the role will support the process, cadence, data structure & analytics, and stakeholder management needed to effectively identify and evaluate both risks to and opportunities for Wayfair’s network performance over a 0-24 month time period. This is a unique role in Wayfair that operates at the intersection of a large number of both commercial and supply chain teams, including Marketing, Promotions, Operations Analytics, Industrial Engineering & Global Design, Operations, Workforce Management, Transportation, and Technology.

Wayfair is looking for a driven, analytical leader with proven experience in managing supply chain operations, driving organizational change, and championing innovative thinking to drive operations readiness for North America. 

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with team to design comprehensive, end-to-end processes that fully integrate with the existing rhythm of business across cross-functional teams and executive decision-making timelines by driving the following:
    • Partner with head of Operations Readiness and Network Management to determine key outcomes & strategic network questions for evaluation
    • Assist with development of enhanced analytics & visibility to create standardized reporting structure across cross-functional teams 
    • Collaborate with leaders & analysts from commercial and supply chain teams to standardize subprocesses & analyses that support overall forum; source and coordinate resources as needed to increase stability, repeatability, efficiency, and scalability of these subprocesses 
  • Drive outcomes owned by Operations Readiness, e.g., network throughput promise
  • Support Operations Readiness teammates as needed on other aspects of managing network performance

 What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain/Operations discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in operations, technology, consulting, strategy or finance, preferably with diverse experience
  • MBA or equivalent Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to draft analytical architecture for problem solving (e.g. tradeoff analyses)
  • Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly and consistently partner with a broad range of levels and functions to achieve objectives
  • Experience in Sales & Operations Planning or related functions a plus but not required
