Strategic Finance works collaboratively with various business units to understand strategies, dissect trends in the customer base, and translate those into a financial model for revenue and advertising spend to develop our financial forecast. Our work provides the business with critical financial insights which directly impact the future direction of Wayfair's business. We enjoy tackling challenging problems and translating quantitative analyses into broader, strategic business implications. 

In this role as a Manager, you will lead Forecasting & Business Planning processes. Your work and leadership will directly contribute to Wayfair’s incredible growth story on a global scale. You are highly analytical, data driven, detail oriented, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and effective in balancing multiple priorities.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the leader within Business Planning (a group within Strategic Corporate Finance) by providing financial analysis and strategic insights for several of Wayfair’s businesses. You will own all things Revenue and Ad Spend for your brands as well as support our brand teams in understanding their full P&L.
  • Build financial and operational models for high-priority initiatives (models, reporting, trend analysis, etc.).
  • Deliver seamless, cohesive analyses and reporting to senior leaders across the company, becoming the go-to person for any financial inquires, analyses, and requests.
  • Know the numbers behind the business inside and out; serve as the subject matter expert for all internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively on data needs with cross-functional groups, including Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Operations and Engineering.
  • Define and adapt Business Planning and stakeholder processes. 
  • Develop new analyses and processes to support strategic focus areas and other growth initiatives as Wayfair continues to scale its businesses.
  • Manage, train, mentor and develop direct reports.

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree, plus 5+ years of experience in finance, data analytics or strategy with a track record of success.
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, corporate development, FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or a strategic field.
  • Extensive experience in building and adapting financial models.
  • Senior presence with thoughtful communication style.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment where strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are a must.
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
