At Wayfair Planning and Inventory Management, we partner with thousands of suppliers to maximize customers’ experience. This means driving speed and availability through inventory and positioning strategies with suppliers leveraging Wayfair’s fulfillment services (CastleGate) as well as suppliers’ own supply chain capacities. This specific role sits at the intersection of our Inventory Management, Specialty Retail, and Physical Retail businesses. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is comfortable operating in a fast paced and ambiguous environment to serve as a strategic project manager for inventory availability as Wayfair expands into the brick and mortar and specialty retail spaces. This role will partner closely with Merchants, Planning & Allocation, Inventory Management, and Analytics teams to build tools and processes to deliver best in class inventory availability in our curated channels.

What You'll Do

  • Manage store and brand level assortment inventory availability, analyzing data and providing recommendations on opportunity and risk areas around key metrics to deliver on in-stock goals
  • Build tools and processes to continuously improve how Curated assortment items flow through Wayfair’s standard inventory replenishment process
  • Enable cross-functional partners to deliver on their agenda by supporting them with the required tools and reporting - driving the discovery, planning and engagement needed in the process
  • Partner with technical teams to build tools required to embed curated items into Wayfair’s inventory management process against defined roadmap timelines 
  • Build strong relationships with internal business and technical stakeholders, influencing both with informal and formal authority to drive progress against curated availability KPIs 

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of ecommerce, corporate retail, or management consulting experience, preferred
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt with agility
  • High degree of resilience, collaborative persistence and curiosity
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • An ability to manage and prioritize projects and to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions. 
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization - GBQ, Looker, Excel
