Who We Are:

Wayair’s Global Product Addition team is responsible for launching thousands of new products on a daily basis and is looking to improve merchandising speed, consistency, and quality towards our goal of launching perfect SKUs at scale. The Product Addition (PA) process operates like a digital factory with a variety of processes specifically designed to perform QA reviews, data validations, and product data updates to ensure all newly launched SKUs meet Wayfair’s high merchandising standards. PA is a highly visible space as launching SKUs quickly and correctly is a top priority for both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

This role oversees and manages the overall pipeline for launching new products, including how we intake new supplier product submission data, perform initial structural product reviews, confirm products launched successfully on site, and invest in follow-up quality improvements to set up new products for success.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the entire Product Addition Pipeline, which processes thousands of products per day by leveraging tech automation and a global network of merchandising agents to ensure we are adding compelling, well-merchandised products to Wayfair’s ever-growing assortment of home goods.
  • Own and deliver large scale projects end to end, starting with a problem statement and driving the analysis, resourcing, implementation and eventual success of highly impactful projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage a high-performing team of 3 direct reports, who are subject matter experts in ecommerce merchandising and process operations
  • Lead process design and implementation for Wayfair’s Next Gen Merchandising strategy to account for supplier and product nuance, support Wayfair’s dynamic merchandising goals, and move away from one-size-fits all processing.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand how we can enable and support Wayfair’s long-term merchandising strategy starting with all new products being added to site
  • Build compelling business cases based on clear improvements to secure engineering and data science resources to drive automation and scalability, while tracking project success against predefined KPIs and metrics using analytics tools like Google Big Query, Looker Studio, and Excel

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of work experience.  Operations, business strategy, and process-improvement focus is a plus.
  • Results-driven, organized team player with strong emphasis on communication and agility.  Direct management experience is ideal.
  • Strong business acumen - ability to understand how various parts of a business interact and can identify and approach multifaceted problems
  • Strong quantitative skills - analytical, problem-solving mindset with ability to find creative solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google suite - familiarity / proficiency with SQL and/or Google Big Query is a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
  • Experience thriving in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing a roadmap, driving measurable progress toward team goals, and leveraging data to tell a story and impact the overarching strategy.
