Our customer technology team is responsible for building and growing the native apps and websites customers use to shop our catalog. We leverage technology to make shopping for millions of products feel simple and personal.
We are looking for an experienced product manager to own product strategy, vision, and execution of the customer tech data engineering workstream. This team is responsible for the development and optimization of our enterprise-scale data infrastructure that fuels personalization, customer insights, and business performance across Wayfair. You’ll lead a cross-functional team partnering closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to build and evolve our core data pipelines, platforms, and tools to enable opportunities and insights across our e-commerce experience. You’ll be part of an exceptionally talented Product Management and Technology community at a Fortune 500 company.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive product discovery, strategy, and roadmap for our customer data engineering ecosystem
- Lead cross-functional technology team to define data requirements and ensure seamless integration of data across systems and platforms
- Manage the delivery of scalable ETL pipelines and data processing
- Evangelize best practices for data ownership & stewardship, shaping our approach to a scalable and high quality platform for customer data.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable use cases in personalization, machine learning, and business intelligence
We Are a Match Because You Have:
- Total 6+ years experience and 3+ years experience in software product management with direct experience with data platforms or data engineering products
- An ownership mentality. You proactively work to improve your product, its reliability, and plans for its future state. You propose adjustments to priorities as needed, and take responsibility for outcomes, celebrating team wins, and surfacing learning moments.
- Good judgment. You manage risk, know when to pivot, can assess multiple paths forward, and use data to inform and advocate for the right next steps.
- Technical acumen. You can understand intended customer and business outcomes and translate them into backend data, data service, and platform solutions that manage for scalability. You have a proven track record of sustaining and maintaining a high bar for your platform space.
- Collaborative approach & excellent communication skills. You have experience working with multiple disciplines–engineering, design, analytics and business partners–and ability to accelerate progress toward shared goals and bring others along.
