Project Manager, CastleGate Forwarding
Wayfair’s International Supply Chain (CastleGate Forwarding) division is looking for a Project Manager to help drive various operations initiatives. We offer a full suite of shipping services (consolidation, ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that provides Wayfair suppliers with a turn-key freight forwarding service so they can scale their business. In this role, you will focus on improving internal operations by developing and executing against project plans, playing a part in strategy design, showcasing strong program management skills, ensuring alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, and communicating updates to leadership. This is a role for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about delivering results, and doesn’t shy away from complex workstreams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead high-visibility projects and programs for operations teams
- Create and execute against project plans, working with stakeholders to keep them accountable and ensure that tasks are completed on time
- Design a strategy for new programs and manage them effectively
- Proactively identify and communicate risks and roadblocks as they arise
- Provide updates and insights to leadership on progress and development
- Partner with operations teams to identify both short-term, scrappy solutions as well as longer-term, tech enabled approaches to operational challenges
- Leverage data to support program recommendations and drive project results
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of working experience
- Experience with complex, cross-functional project and/or program management
- Ability to synthesize complex problems and data into easily understood narratives, transform insights, and create recommendations
- Proactive ability to organize, prioritize, delegate, and meet timelines
- Comfort working with and building trust among stakeholders and senior leadership
- Problem-solving mindset with strict attention to detail and ability to ask the right questions
- Background in regularly using Microsoft Project, Excel, Google suite products to manage projects, timelines, and deliverables a plus
- Prior experience in freight forwarding or supply chain operations is a plus
The salary range for this position is $99,000 - 121,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
