Wayfair Professional is seeking a Public Relations and Social Media Manager to join the B2B Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to build awareness and credibility for Wayfair Professional through both earned and owned communications channels utilizing customer insights, high-impact creative, and partnerships. The ideal candidate can think both creatively and analytically, has very strong written and interpersonal communication, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is never satisfied with the status quo. Candidates should be hyper-focused on storytelling with an interest in residential and/or commercial design and should be able to manage multiple large projects at once. The role will report into the Content Marketing Manager at Wayfair’s Boston headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Own the B2B Public Relations and Social Media workstreams, building robust roadmaps, with input from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Own Wayfair Professional’s organic social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), building the channel strategy to increase followers and engagement
  • Proactively develop and launch pitches, contests, activations, data-driven trend reports, and brand partnerships that drive media coverage for Wayfair Professional in target trade publications
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support on-site content and cross-functional marketing efforts for omnichannel campaigns
  • Manage inbound media requests for design and trend commentary, ghost-writing responses for internal spokespeople and leadership, where appropriate
  • Compile weekly and monthly reporting; manage ongoing tracking 
  • Monitor industry news; create weekly recaps looking at industry-specific media coverage, providing competitive analysis
  • Compile and update media lists to track relevant contacts by industry

What You'll Need

  • 5 to 8+ years PR, Social, or relevant Marketing experience
  • Very strong written and interpersonal communication, inclusive of writing pitches, headlines, and captions
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment
  • Self-starter focused on delivering results and growing the business every day
  • Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
  • Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information
  • Interest and experience in managing external relationships, from reporters and photographers to customers, influencers, and other corporate brands
  • Grasps new information, recognizes own strengths and weaknesses, pursues self-development and seeks feedback
  • Familiarity with Sprinklr and/or Meltwater is preferred but not required
