Sales Manager - International Supply Chain

International Supply Chain (ISC) is a digital freight forwarding organization within Wayfair's broader CastleGate Logistics network. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with competitive and convenient logistics solutions. As part of the ISC team, you will play a critical role in executing our sales strategy. This is a highly visible and exciting role and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to be part of a fast growing environment within the e-commerce industry. 

 

What You'll Do

  • Collaborating with the Sales Operations team to generate new leads for future growth 
  • Give sales presentations to Wayfair suppliers to demonstrate supply chain value propositions and understand supplier needs
  • Evaluating results and competitive developments to identify improvements or recommend changes in our ISC program
  • Meet revenue growth targets across all ISC services (new & existing customers) 
  • Partner up with Key Account Management to increase share of wallet with existing ISC customers
  • Work closely with our control tower in order to sell any short-term excess capacity to existing or new customers
  • Building trustworthy relationship with our customer and point of contact for any commercial negotiation for container volume within respective territory
  • Provide market updates to suppliers & internal Wayfair stakeholders 

 

What You'll Need

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German and other languages are a plus. 
  • A Bachelor and/or Masters degree 
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Sales representative in the ocean freight industry and know how to approach online importer 
  • Structured and analytical problem solving approach
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
  • An open personality and confidence to work with mid level or C-level business partners
  • High degree of comfort using Excel and Powerpoint to work with data and communicate ideas
  • Leadership/project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and to effectively scope and deliver projects under tight deadlines.
