About Partner Operations:

Partner Operations was created to dramatically improve consumers’ shopping experience, and develop a unique competitive advantage for Wayfair. We do this by offering one and two-day delivery times, lower prices, and higher delivery quality of home products than has historically been possible. In order to accomplish this goal, we take a consultative approach to our partners’ supply chain and leverage our CastleGate program, our Wayfair Delivery Network, and suppliers’ own networks. Partner Operations is one of Wayfair’s newer business units, is growing rapidly, and operates entrepreneurially. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to help expand this business.

About the role:

We are looking for a curious and analytical problem-solver to help us profitably grow our specialty retail brands (AllModern, Birch Lane, and Joss & Main). These brands target a $60B specialty home market and provide a tightly curated assortment of stylish and elevated quality products for the specialty customer. Our Specialty Retail Brands operate like venture-backed start-ups within Wayfair’s already entrepreneurial culture. To be successful in this role, you must get energy from operating amidst ambiguity, digging into the data to create new metrics, tools and data visualizations, and being a brand advocate with leadership, cross-functional peers, and the core team. In this role you will gain great experience in e-commerce, inventory planning, marketing, merchandising, data analytics, financial analysis, and supply chain.

  • Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights from various analyses and drive actions from supplier leads
  • Contribute innovative and strategic ideas to help shape a relatively new team, and continue to drive impact across the organization

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative field (math, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.
  • 2+ years of work experience in an analytical role in a cross-functional and ambiguous environment
  • Proficiency with SQL/Google Big Query required, knowledge of Python or another programming language is preferred including a desire to develop the skill set
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Data Studio, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Strong quantitative skills; a demonstrated ability to develop analytical methodologies and assumptions, use data software to conduct the analyses, and synthesize findings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Be intellectually curious, passionate, and have a strong work ethic
  • Experience working with, normalizing, and synthesizing large amounts of unstructured data into actionable insights
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks and constraints, propose potential solutions, and drive towards resolution
  • Attention to detail with strong quality control
  • Scrappy attitude and comfort with ambiguous complex problems
