We’re the Partner Operations Physical Retail team, and we’re tackling exciting problems that are reshaping how our customers discover, find, and purchase products  for their home by launching a Physical Retail presence in 2022 with aggressive growth goals.

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and energetic individual that can actively manage a portfolio of suppliers, build recommendations and influence supplier specific supply chain/e-commerce strategies, and continuously maintain key priorities to drive best in class outcomes for Wayfair. Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.

What You’ll Do

A strong candidate will relish the opportunity to jump into a highly visible workstream that drives significant impact to the success of Physical Retail. You will be a fierce advocate for the needs of Physical Retail as you partner with suppliers, internal stakeholders and business leaders across Wayfair to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful outcomes. Additionally, you’re customer-centered, and love turning quantitative and qualitative findings into insights and strategy to drive priorities. As an early member of our team, you will have the opportunity to have a huge impact on the trajectory of the Physical Retail brand, capabilities and success. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams (account management, category management, merchandising, product, analytics, store ops etc.) to develop and execute plans to drive the Physical Retail strategy
  • Mine and analyze raw and curated inventory data from relational databases, dashboards, and other sources or tools to develop insights, identify root causes and trends, and evaluate options that mitigate against those causes, and coordinate action
  • Coordinate the procurement of products for Physical Retail store and track ROI for purchased product to drive insights for future purchases
  • Establish role as subject matter expert on Physical Retail to support cross-functional teams
  • Execute on additional tasks and projects to drive Physical Retail growth, as deemed appropriate

What You’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Evidence of being a great team member in an inclusive environment
  • Demonstrated evidence in meeting preparation and agenda setting either independently or cross-functionally
  • High attention to detail with ability to appropriately manage and prioritize projects and tasks appropriately and to influence key partners and stakeholders that leads to results and deliverables on time and within scope
  • Strong client or customer management experience skill set. Comfortable in front of C-level executives.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with a tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Demonstrated foundation in supply chain with the ability to transverse tactical execution and strategic planning a plus 
  • Strong analytics skill set, including expertise with SQL, Google Cloud Platform, or other relational database technologies is a plus
