Profitability Algorithms answers these questions and others like them. We vend cost and profit estimates globally to ensure profit-aware decision-making across the company in systems such as pricing, sort, and marketing. Our broad scope comes with regular executive visibility and the opportunity to influence critical business strategy at Wayfair.
We are looking for a highly motivated and solution-oriented Senior Analyst to join our Analytics team. We focus on maximizing the business impact of our machine learning models through experimentation and post-hoc model evaluation. We elevate our models and their outputs through analytics products to power company-wide decision making. We work in close collaboration with a high performing team of engineers, machine learning engineers/data scientists/economists, and product managers.
What You'll Do
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders through analytics products that translate the output and impact of our models into actionable business insights
- Design, run and analyze the results of A/B tests of new product search and recommendations algorithms and strategies; we also develop new testing and test analysis methodologies.
- Execute exploratory data analysis to generate new insights & inform our product roadmap.
- Own KPI reporting and monitoring; this includes anomaly detection and advanced measurement approaches.
- Communicate key insights and recommendations to cross-functional executive leaders across the organization
What You'll Need
- Curiosity, grit, candor and a team-first attitude
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline (computer science, engineering, math, statistics, economics)
- 1.5+ years work experience in a relevant field (in addition to any graduate education).
- Proficiency in structured programming languages SQL and Python with a strong desire and ability to further develop skill set.
- Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decision making.
