This position will be based in our Boston, MA office. All Boston based corporate employees work in the office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office at least 4 days per week and have the option to work remotely on Fridays.

About Financial Planning and Analysis at Wayfair: With Wayfair’s focus on profitable operations comes the need for strong financial partnership, planning, and support across the business. The Financial Planning and Analysis team works collaboratively with various teams across the business to drive fiscal accountability, provide visibility into actual performance and shape our forecast based on most current trends and business insights. Our work provides the business with financial insights that directly impact the direction of Wayfair's business. We enjoy tackling challenging problems and translating quantitative analyses into strategic business implications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Become the point person for the consolidation and analysis of our Profit and Loss (P&L) and serve as a subject matter expert for all internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders of Wayfair’s businesses over time, translating business problems into actionable items that can be answered through data analyses
  • Strengthen existing relationships with finance and cross-functional partners across the organization 
  • Partner with senior leadership to produce quarterly Board of Directors presentations
  • Initiate and complete ad-hoc analytical requests and special projects to support Wayfair leadership.
  • Implement strategic improvement projects to our processes

The right candidate has:

  • Candidate must have (finance, economics, and/or business analytics) bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Finance related role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills that put you at ease with financial data and accounting concepts
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to effectively convey insights from analyses to senior leaders
  • Experience working within large datasets and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and/or complete information is not available
  • Ability to support complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence
  • Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Results driven and able to perform well in a fast-moving environment and against tight deadlines
