Who We Are

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and thoughtful leader to head one of our largest categories and transform it into an eCommerce powerhouse at one of the largest eCommerce players globally and in Europe. This role is based in London, but focused on the German market, so German fluency is required.

 

 What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop and manage strategy for a category: you will be responsible for the performance and growth plans (top and bottom line) for your area of the business 
  • Strategic supplier relationship management: be the growth coach for our top supplier partners, execute strategic negotiations with suppliers including pricing, and commercial and operational programmes
  • Analysis of top and bottom line drivers; root causing and developing actions to drive performance
  • Analyze competitors’ marketing, selection and pricing and make strategic changes and product scouting as needed
  • Advance catalogue expansion, including identifying selection gaps, driving selection expansion with your supplier partners and building direct relationships with key suppliers to bring on board
  • Identify merchandising opportunities for your category and collaborate with central merchandising to plan and prioritize initiatives
  • Collaborate across departments and with our US based counterparts to drive category goals (e.g. Operations, Inventory Planning, Category Planning, Merchandising, Pricing) 

 

 What You'll Need:

  • Analytical mindset and data-driven approach; proven experience translating data into actionable insights
  • Fluency in both English and German
  • Success in building relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • Experience in leading successful negotiations
  • Strong strategic thinking and demonstrated ability to execute on strategy
  • At least 5 years of eCommerce, corporate retail or management consulting experience preferred
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to manage and prioritise projects, and delegate tasks
  • Innovative problem-solving skills - dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions
  • An ability to hit the ground running - be a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
