The salary range (or base pay) for this position is $172,500-190,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities.
  • Own the team's technical output and service performance, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps, set OKRs, and translate ambiguous challenges into well-defined initiatives.
  • Guide architecture and execution across multiple systems, with broad influence over 2–4 engineering teams.
  • Implement engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, code quality, observability, and incident response.
  • Drive technical roadmap planning, continuous improvement, and delivery of key business outcomes.
  • Address complex, undefined technical problems, leading efforts to design robust and scalable services.
  • Manage hybrid and distributed team dynamics, supporting on-call responsibilities for critical services.
  • Contribute to the hiring and retention of top engineering talent.
  • Serve as the go-to leader for deeply technical challenges within your team’s domain.

What You’ll Need

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on designing and building scalable platforms.
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, leading high-caliber teams and delivering complex systems.
  • Experience with cloud-native platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency in backend development using object-oriented languages such as C#; familiarity with legacy systems like PHP or Python is a plus.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong background in engineering best practices, including TDD, DDD, and CI/CD.
  • Proven ability to influence architecture decisions across teams and drive technical excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
