Our Team

Partner Operations was created to drive the global operations strategy with Wayfair’s largest and most impactful suppliers. The mandate for the Partner Operations team is to dramatically improve consumers’ shopping experience, and develop a unique competitive advantage for Wayfair through world class supply chain operations, leveraging both Wayfair’s proprietary CastleGate logistics network and Suppliers’ own supply chains. We do this by offering one and two-day delivery times, lower prices, and higher delivery quality of home products than has historically been possible.  The Partner Operations team enables the commercial success of Wayfair by guiding and supporting our supplier partners towards the supply chain set up and performance that unlocks their success in the online market. 

Wayfair is growing quickly, and at the same time our global supply chain services are expanding rapidly, which introduces both more power and more complexity to the solutions we offer. Continuing to drive this rapid progress, will require a team capable of building and executing strategy, developing innovative and high caliber people, and ultimately driving the growth of our suppliers and their success on Wayfair.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to develop and implement a best-in-class program for driving supplier experience and performance across our global operations. You will drive innovation through a cross functional mission to deploy technology at-scale to enable a holistic platform experience for suppliers and customers alike. This position sits at the intersection of technology and business, relying on your leadership and collaborative skills to manage a technology roadmap across multiple Product & Engineering teams focused on building internal and external facing solutions to radically improve Wayfair and Supplier business outcomes. You will work on a high-performing team with a global remit to relentlessly execute, employing data driven decision frameworks, program management, strategic and operational skills to drive business results, accelerating supplier growth potential. 

Due to the highly cross-functional nature of this role, the Senior Manager must possess a strong senior presence that will allow them to act independently to influence senior stakeholders across Wayfair. Success in this role requires a combination of analytical, strategic and program management, a hunger for creative business problem solving,  an ability to own and execute against business objectives and operate in a cross-functional, collaborative environment. 

What You'll Do

  • Build a world-class Supplier Experience for Operations globally, with full accountability for fast and flawless execution across a highly cross-functional team, influencing through direct and indirect reports and peers. With opportunities to manage and develop a team. 
  • Create visions and roadmaps, drive strategy and evolving the business needs for your function
  • Monitor and report key operational metrics to drive the continued improvement of our business development and onboarding approaches while enhancing supplier experience
  • Move and pivot quickly to iterate and improve performance by diving deep into problems to unback solutions and unlock value 
  • Regularly communicate performance trends and improvements to senior management and leadership both within and outside your immediate line of reporting
  • Identify and prioritize  improvement opportunities to drive the largest immediate impact in our current approach while assisting to plan and implement new cutting-edge tooling and capabilities
  • Collaborate on a global scale to manage complex and technical programs with multiple functions including:  Product & Engineering,  Supply Chain, Operations, Account Managers, Marketing, Transportation, Content & Design and Finance. 
  • Keep an eye on best-practices from our competitors and others industries to ensure Wayfair remains in its leadership position

What You’ll Need:

  • 6+ years of applicable experience, preferably with exposure in the following areas: program or product management, consulting, e-commerce or a technology sector with significant operational components, a successful entrepreneur who has built similar or related product/service offerings. 
  • MBA not required, but preferred. Professional Experience and/or Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in economics, math, statistics, engineering, business or related fields is a plus. 
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; including excellent presentations skills and the ability to readily communicate complex technical issues/concepts to non-technical peers and executives
  • Able to build relationships at all levels in the organization, with a Team-first attitude with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration and leadership 
  • Strong analytical experience and comfortable operating with large data sets to identify trends and actionable takeaways. Advanced analytical skills are a plus. 
  • Able to mentor teams’ work; including setting priorities and thinking outside of the box for unconventional solutions to large scale challenges
  • Intellectually curious, high energy, with a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a fast-paced, high stakes team environment. Ability to learn and act quickly, make decisions and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity
