Who We Are: The B2B Strategy & Operations team develops the go-to-market strategy and operating model for Wayfair’s B2B business, Wayfair Professional. We help drive both long-term thinking about what customer experience will maximize profitable growth and shorter-term measures improving operational efficiency. We do this in partnership with a sales organization of over 500 agents delivering a nine-figure annual revenue target. We serve customers in the Office, Hospitality, Interior Design, Contractor, Property Management and other sectors, with a broad assortment across furniture, fixtures and decor. Wayfair Professional has nearly tripled in size over the past 24 months, and we are seeking to expand and upgrade the strategic capabilities that support our growing sales team.

What You’ll Do: As the Senior Manager, Sales Technology & Platform Notifications, you will be leading a team of analysts (including technical analysts) and responsible for defining and executing on the B2B Tasking and Notifications strategy. At Wayfair Professional, we define Tasking as an automated notification for the sales team to initiate email, phone, SMS conversation with customers. This role is accountable to enable sales tasking and notifications with an emphasis on building for scale and efficiency. The leader will need to understand current workflow and develop platform strategy to enable seamless and effective tasking. You’ll do this by understanding the different outreach channels Wayfair Professional uses and maximizing the mix. You’ll be working with stakeholders from across the STO to create a single unified Wayfair Professional voice to maximize customer experience. Relationship Management will be key as this role requires engagement with Sales and Business leaders across the organization. 

  • Lead efforts to scale Wayfair’s notifications to match an aggressive business growth rate
  • Work with stakeholders in order to maximize customer value via multiple channels, phone, email, SMS, notifications
  • Develop a deep understanding of communication and notification patterns and technologies across different channels
  • Learn from data and customer feedback (internal and external) to identify new platform requirements
  • Define workforce management requirements, with specific focus on next best action to be taken by sales representatives; Work with product partners to bring workforce vision into reality
  • Build a long-term vision for improved customer and sales experience, break it down into achievable phases to drive adoption with sales working with product, engineering, and partners
  • Work with internal partners to determine the business use cases and priorities
  • Work with product & engineering to prioritize, sequence, and deliver on aligned roadmaps while using our agile process and experimentation.
  • Establish and facilitate roadmap planning and backlog prioritization processes
  • Work with multiple internal teams to solicit feedback, gain consensus, and communicate all changes
  • Work with Product & Engineering teams to define business rules and requirements for process automation 
  • Own change management processes for sales roll out of new processes

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Given the strategic and cross-functional nature of this role, the qualified candidate must have strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience liasoning with product & engineering teams for tech build and feature enhancements
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com), opportunity management, account management etc
  • Experience with Salesloft, Gong, Chorus and intelligence software preferred
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and managing cross-functional projects required.
  • Experience managing a high-performing team, and a track record of developing talent required.
  • Experience working in a fast-growth company or shaping your own work plan is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and six+ years of experience required. MBA (or master’s degree in operations research, or similar field) preferred.
