The Talent / HRIS Platforms team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Workday HRIS to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative solutions across our HR technology landscape. This role will serve as a liaison between technology and talent / HR business operations  ensuring that Workday and integrated systems are optimized for scale, accuracy, and delivering a world-class employee experience for our 20K Employees worldwide

This individual will combine deep Workday configuration expertise with strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a forward-looking approach to systems strategy and process excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Workday & Technology Architecture
  • Architect end-to-end Workday solutions across modules such as HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking & Absence, Payroll, Security, and Reporting.
  • Own the full Workday configuration lifecycle: requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Lead Workday Core configuration (e.g., locations, cost centers, pay groups, custom orgs, positions management) and enhancements (e.g., time off rules, alerts, business processes).
  • Develop and support scalable integrations with internal/external systems (e.g., payroll, ATS like Greenhouse, other enterprise platforms).
  • Perform EIBs, data conversions, and validation activities during implementations or mass updates.
  • Strategic Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead cross-functional HR technology projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and user experience standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements or new capabilities.
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions, identifying dependencies and mitigating risks.
  • Manage technology intake, roadmap planning, project timelines, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and document best practices, standard operating procedures, and configuration governance across the Workday ecosystem.
  • Perform regular data audits to maintain data integrity and security compliance.
  • Monitor Workday releases and proactively evaluate opportunities for innovation or process improvement.
  • Stay informed on emerging HR tech trends, particularly AI/automation, and provide forward-looking recommendations.
  • Client Focus & Leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Centers of Excellence and other internal clients regarding system capabilities and reporting.
  • Resolve inquiries related to employee data, integrations, and configuration impacts.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the HRIS/People Tech team as needed.

 

What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years of experience in HR systems, with deep Workday expertise across multiple modules.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, global solutions for high-growth or enterprise organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and proactive in driving outcomes.
  • Experience with ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse), internal integrations, and data architecture is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry trends in HR tech and interest in applying AI-driven or automation solutions a plus.

 

This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position.
