What You Will Do:

  • Run discovery sessions with stakeholders and set the product vision for your team, including strategy, goal setting, and scalability targets in an effort to achieve our business goals.
  • Translate our product vision/strategy into a sequenced roadmap and ensure that your roadmap evolves as we learn and adjust our business goals.
  • Drive the OKRs and product roadmap to identify and prevent fraudulent activity, preventing millions of dollars in losses, while minimizing the friction for our good customers.
  • Identify, refine, and monitor your KPIs to understand the health of your product and its impact on key business metrics.
  • Build scalable and reusable fraud and risk management solutions that will be used by many different teams within multiple applications, functionalities, and processes.
  • Strategize whether we should build or buy, assessing external fraud management tools and vendors, championing the integration of new innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with the ops team to improve their processes and tools and maximize their efficiency.
  • Partner with business and product stakeholders to understand their businesses and co-develop impactful solutions that drive key business value in a secure and compliant way.
  • Champion a strong team dynamic by driving cross-functional collaboration, product quality, and team velocity.
  • Use Agile processes to collaborate with partnering teams such as Engineering to execute on the roadmap while harnessing the power of emerging technologies.
  • Communicate and promote the product vision and progress throughout Wayfair from C-level stakeholders on down.
  • Develop and monitor OKRs for key product initiatives and ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives.
  • Work with senior partners to improve product craft and processes throughout your Department.

 

Who You Are:

  • 9+ years building software products or infrastructure at scale with measurable impact and ideally across multiple platforms or workstreams.
  • Extensive experience working with 3rd party fraud & risk management solutions in payments fraud either on the merchant side or as a solution provider, with deep understanding of payments fraud, associated metrics, and technologies.
  • Ability to develop and own a project roadmap to achieve the overall vision, focusing on customer problems and creating business-focused products solutions. This includes actively assessing and adjusting the road map as new information or opportunities present themselves.
  • A proven record of high-performance managing complex initiatives to achieve outstanding results, matched by an intuitive understanding of the importance of data in understanding trends, providing actionable insights and tracking the success of those initiatives
  • Experience making data-based conclusions and recommendations, and the ability to be hands-on in the data analysis process, while guiding the direction of the analytics and data science team
  • Demonstrated success coaching/upskilling direct team or mentees.
  • Excellent reasoning skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the senior partner level.
  • Positive, people-oriented, and collaborative attitude.
  • Experience working in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
