Senior Program Manager, Engineering Workforce Augmentation (Remote)

Wayfair is looking for a Program Manager to organize and drive a comprehensive workforce augmentation strategy for our global technology organization. As the program owner, you’re accountable for development of the strategy, its execution, and the achievement of its key outcomes.  

In this role, you will be the single threaded owner of the Workforce Augmentation Program, partnering with technology leaders to proactively support their contract resourcing needs, which will require anticipating bottlenecks, managing escalations and making smart and data informed decisions. You will oversee and are accountable for the successful performance of the end-to-end Workforce Augmentation processes. At their core, the ideal candidate is a relationship builder and change agent able to steer through ambiguity, as well as a strategic visionary with deep process excellence, continuous improvement and change management. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multi-year scalable Workforce Augmentation strategy from concept to delivery, identifying key outcomes such as quality, risk, diversity and cost, leveraging market data and industry best practices. You’ll be able to zoom into the weeds of a solution or communicate constraints and target outcomes to SVP level leaders.
  • Oversee all operational processes, vendor management activities including onboarding vendors and individual contractors
  • Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria, and clearly communicate progress, confidence, learnings, and results
  • Identify and implement a steady stream of  process enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-cutting partner teams: legal, procurement and employee technology
  • As program scales, the role may extend more broadly to drive high visibility talent and organizational development initiatives

 

What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years of Program management experience
  • 5+ years of Vendor management experience in a fast-paced agile technology organization 
  • Strong operational knowledge of global support operations across global regions such as: North America, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC
  • Knowledge of various pricing models, complex business structures and ability to create standardized scoring models to evaluate disparate vendor/functional teams
  • The ability to work with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally and provide strategic thought partnership
  • Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives that enhance the customer experience for vendors at large scale
  • The ability to communicate. Succinctly. At all levels
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights, clear opportunities, and viable solutions
