Who We Are:
Global Supplier Technology builds tools for the end‑to‑end journey of tens of thousands of suppliers, from onboarding, to product management, to logistics, to payments, and much more, impacting millions of customers and products. The Production Operations team is tasked with ensuring adequate observability, providing level 3 support, and efficient problem management. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be in pole position to drive progress in those areas.
What you’ll do:
* Shape our platform’s strategy with regard to qualities such as availability and stability.
* Enhance our system observability for early detection of issues with the platform.
* Improve our L3 support through the development of workflows and automation.
* Work with a machine learning engineer on automating issue triaging and resolution.
* Provide technical coordination for resolution of major platform incidents.
What you’ll need:
* 3+ years of experience in a senior engineer or technical lead role
* 3+ years of experience as a backend or full stack software engineer with experience in designing and building Web applications at scale
* Proficiency in a scripting language (Bash, Python, etc.)
* Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, etc.)
* Experience in instrumenting, monitoring, and debugging distributed systems
* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux a plus
* Expertise in problem management a plus
* Good communication skills
