Supplier Council Manager, Product Marketing

Location: Boston, MA

Summary: The Product Marketing team is housed within the Supplier Marketing organization, which drives the end-to-end performance marketing conversion funnel across Wayfair’s supplier platform.

We focus on the product activation phase—both for new and existing suppliers—by developing go-to-market plans for product launches. Our mission is to drive product marketing standards for Partner Home (Wayfair’s supplier platform) through consultative and embedded involvement. We’ll spur innovation through experimentation and insights—and from the Supplier Council, which represents the wants and needs of our diverse supplier population.

As the inaugural Supplier Council Manager, you’ll drive the vision, development, and management of our Supplier Council. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to conceive of the Council’s creation and maintenance; work with Product teams to involve Council members in product testing; and closely with suppliers to ensure satisfaction with their membership experience.

What You Will Do

  • Develop the Supplier Council vision and mission
  • Establish and run Supplier Council programming, including membership plan(s), events, communications, and terms of engagement
  • Diversify the Council by capturing different company and user types, and at varying satisfaction levels
  • Increase Council membership through active recruitment campaigns
  • Establish internal-facing systems to field Council engagement requests and prioritization, and to handle ongoing communication with internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with product teams to facilitate research across all stages of the product life cycle (e.g., partnering on supplier surveys and/or moderating live supplier panels)
  • Regularly convene with the Global UX Research team to collect supplier data; integrate research best practices; and identify opportunities to collaborate and/or remove redundant efforts
  • Experiment with new approaches and processes to optimize the Supplier Council experience and Supplier Council management

What You Will Need

  • 5+ years of e-commerce, project management, user design and research, and/or marketing experience, preferred
  • Experience working with a variety of cross-functional teams—especially Product, UX Design/Research, and Engineering, preferred
  • An appetite to build a program from scratch (you’re an intrapreneurial self-starter)
  • A desire to innovate and improve upon established systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, which is vital to managing an internal- and external-facing program
  • Success facilitating collaboration and managing expectations across functional teams
  • Ability to identify and prioritize universal product marketing priorities among stakeholders’ competing priorities
  • Relentless care and concern for the supplier experience
