MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Welocalize is excited to offer a unique opportunity for those who enjoy linguistic and technical work. We are seeking a Linguistic Tester with native-level fluency in English.
For this role, you will be working to assist in the development of cutting-edge, consumer-facing software.
Linguistic Testers will evaluate the quality of text annotations in support of natural language processing.
Duties are a high-volume data project include labeling words and phrases, critically scanning text to determine context and meaning, and annotating data according to detailed guidelines.
Project Duration: 12 months
Start Date: October 1, 2021
Working Hours: Full-time(5 days in a row + 2 days off in a row)
Friday to Tuesday / Tuesday to Saturday / Sunday to Thursday / Wednesday to Sunday
Office Location: This position starts remotely until the pandemic is over (You will return to the Welocalize Japan Office once it's permitted)
Workers will be performing the following tasks:
・Verifying content accuracy, ensuring it meets the provided standards
・Making possible edits, fixes, or suggestions to the data content when needed
・Making decisions on content, often with limited information on hand
・Reporting any patterns of issues observed to help improve database and product performance
・Testing database tools to provide feedback for improving efficiency and accuracy
