Role Overview

As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll bridge the gap between technical implementation and business goals. You’ll be responsible for deeply understanding both user needs and system architecture to translate business requirements into well-defined technical specifications. You’ll work alongside engineers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders to shape the vision and execution of Welocalize’s products.

What You Can Expect Daily as a Technical Product Manager
- Collaborating with engineering teams to define architecture and implementation plans
- Meeting with product, business, and technical stakeholders to align priorities
- Analyzing data and system behavior to inform decisions
- Gathering and validating user requirements via interviews with customers, internal teams, and partners
- Managing technical product backlogs and maintaining clear, implementable requirements
- Running product demos, technical deep-dives, and solution walkthroughs
- Supporting release planning and ensuring delivery aligns with intended business and technical outcomes

Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and validation of product capabilities, focusing on technical feasibility and architectural impact
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed product and system specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to scope features, define APIs, data flows, integrations, and edge cases
- Serve as the subject matter expert on how product capabilities interact with backend systems and services
- Create wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sequence diagrams as needed to guide development
- Ensure stakeholder needs are accurately captured and translated into the product roadmap and sprint goals
- Partner with UX/UI designers to create interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and technically feasible
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation through delivery and post-release optimization
- Drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ensure development stays aligned with product vision
- Lead or support solution testing and validation (QA/UAT), ensuring that delivered solutions meet both technical and business requirements
- Present technical demos to stakeholders and contribute to customer-facing discussions as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical or engineering-heavy environment
- Proven experience working with APIs, microservices, integrations, and system-level thinking
- Strong understanding of software development processes (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD)
- Experience working with technical teams in localization, globalization, or SaaS environments is a plus
- Ability to understand system architecture diagrams and articulate data flows and dependencies
- Strong analytical skills; experienced with data querying and using metrics to drive decisions
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and product analytics platforms
- Effective communicator able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry would be benefitial (clinical trials, Veeva Systems, etc.
