About Wolt Operations
The role you are looking at is part of the Wolt team in Greece and Cyprus. Wolt is more than just a food delivery app - in fact we are a smooth operation built upon a solid foundation of state-of-the-art technology. We act as a real-time marketplace connecting customers, restaurants and courier partners.  We collect a ton of data from multiple sources and make it actionable by tuning our operations. We want to make sure that we use all this data the best possible way, benefitting all our partners and customers. 

About the role
Wolt is currently looking for our new Head of Sales to lead our commercial teams in Greece and Cyprus. This role is key to our growth in the region and will consist of both hands-on ‘doing’ with our restaurant partners, as well as proactively managing an enthusiastic and high performing team. You’ll be a perfect blend of strategic and analytical, coupled with a strong sales manager that puts their team’s needs first. You’ll also be extremely passionate about sales too, and will be the type of person that is always looking at new revenue generating opportunities. 

As this is a newly created role, we ask for a lot – senior skills with a junior enthusiasm. In return, you get a huge amount of responsibility and a unique chance to really execute on what you think is the best for our growth. 

The role is based in Athens, but frequent travel will be required.

What you will do
Customer obsessed: We put our restaurant partners and customers at the forefront of every decision we make. You’ll help to improve and drive further growth without compromising our proposition.

Create opportunities: You’ll generate new commercial opportunities for Wolt.  This could be developing new partnerships or creating additional revenue streams.

Mentor, manage & motivate: You’ll manage several teams within the restaurant-team. This includes helping the Restaurant Partnership Managers identify suitable restaurant partners to bring onto the Wolt platform, as well as acting as a sparring partner for the Restaurant Development Managers and helping them raise the bar with existing partners. 

Analytical and strategic thinking: Using data to inform your decisions, you’ll develop strategies to improve current commercial performance and create new opportunities.

Working across teams: 
You will be working with the Support and Operations teams to monitor and analyze the satisfaction levels of our customers and restaurant partners and with the Marketing team to guide and contribute to specific marketing campaigns. You will be reporting to the General Manager. 

About you - core capabilities

  • This role typically suits someone with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • You have 4 years experience in people management
  • It is essential that you have experience managing a field sales team - experience in HORECA will be considered a big advantage for this role.  
  • You have strong analytical skills, experience in analysing sales metrics and a proven track record in delivering sales KPIs
  • You are able to translate data into actions and to use KPIs for communicating the progress of your team internally
  • You are able to think on your feet, and multi-tasking is your second nature
  • You have a can-do attitude and you are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • You’re tech-savvy and enjoy learning
  • You’re fluent in English and in Greek
