Your role within the team

  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap to deliver cutting edge data, technology and analytics solutions across ecommerce teams from concept to execution.
  • Become a trusted advisor to business leaders by consulting on growth opportunities and new ways to use data to solve business challenges and generate growth.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization creating tools that allow key stakeholders to make informed decisions based on evidence and insights rather than assumptions.
  • Facilitate analytical best practices throughout the department to improve accuracy and efficiency in generating actionable insights.
  • Unlock omni-channel opportunities to drive sales and market share through trend analysis, insights, CRM and marketing opportunities.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the data analytics strategy to support the department’s objectives and initiatives ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends
  • Create standard operating practice on reporting, systems and analytics across teams ensuring access to critical data
  • Work collaboratively with the global capabilities team on leveraging best practices and initiating betas to develop new competitive advantages
  • To identify, analyse and interpret trends for the business in complex data sets
  • Design, deliver and maintain a suite of dashboards (Tableau / Power BI) to support operational, tactical and strategic information requirements.
  • Unlock new use cases for existing data sets to generate a competitive advantage and optimize the customer journey
  • Assess & Implement data analytic tools and technologies to enhance the organizations data analytics capabilities allowing for scalability and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive information
  • Stay informed and up to date with the latest advancements in AI, technologies and industry best practices to allow for innovation and continuous improvement

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business analytics, data science, or a related field
  • Proven experience (2-3 yrs) in overseeing data analytics functions, preferably in the CPG eCommerce industry or related field
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, visualizations, dashboarding and working across complex data sets. Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for business decision making in a commercial setting, preferably CPG
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with statistical modeling, data mining and machine learning techniques a plus
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to data privacy and security
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Excelling at operating in a fast paced & entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
