Your role within the team
Reporting into the eCommerce Director, the eCommerce Business Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the e-commerce strategy and plan across Chewy + other strategic ecommerce. This position is responsible for driving growth, managing the vendor relationship, and optimizing the digital shelf. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce retailers and a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals. Ideally, you have worked in either the pet or the supplement industry.
Duties and responsibilities
- Own and deliver revenue and margin requirements by account in an extremely fast-paced, growth-focused organization.
- Manage all aspects of the eCommerce-based projects and assignments, including planning, content strategy and optimization, and reporting and insights.
- Develop strong relationships across the retail organizations enabling support and partnership on all parts of the business (buying, merchandising, marketing, analytics, supply chain, logistics).
- Develop and deliver ongoing JBP plans and work cross functionally to coordinate trade promo needs, shipping and logistics details, new product launches, promo accruals, etc.
- Collaborate with the S&OP team on demand forecasting.
- Manage monthly and annual customer and brand-specific sales forecasts.
- Build and understand competitor performance and strategies and build business plans to gain market share at each e-tailer.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, ideally in the pet or supplement industry.
- 2+ years of experience managing eCommerce or other customer accounts, ideally Chewy or Amazon 1P.
- Demonstrated consultative selling skills and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage sell-through data, syndicated data, forecasts, etc. and translate understandings into actionable decisions to drive the business.
- Strong project management and cross-functional team leadership experience.
