Your role within the team
The Global Regulatory Affairs Specialist responsible for obtaining and maintaining pre and post product regulatory approvals for pet supplement skus in countries outside the United States: specifically Canada, EU, and China/Asia. This position is responsible to research and implement procedures, practices and strategies for global Regulatory Affairs submissions and approvals. They will be fully responsible for the preparation of regulatory submissions on behalf of Zesty Paws for direct sales, and also for assisting international business partners with product registrations; preparation of technical files; provide change notifications to foreign distributors and notified bodies. They will provide regulatory support to lifecycle management and new product development/new product introduction and international product registrations. This role builds strong internal and external partnerships and drives proactive cross-functional engagement to ensure regulatory compliance needs are met while achieving business and commercial timelines and goals.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintenance of Regulatory Affairs product files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support activities (e.g. CAPA, issue assessment, quality documentation requirements) as required, in each market
- Document development and coordination for H&H International regions in coordination with Contract Manufacturers
- Negotiate directly with regulatory authorities to resolve questions/issues that arise during the product registration applications.
- Participate in label development and reviews and provide product claims guidance to stakeholders. Review and approve promotional and advertising materials for global markets.
- Serve as liaison between the Company and third-party regulatory consultants where needed.
- Participate in external engagement activities through industry trade associations, work groups or other relevant initiatives, as assigned
- Additional duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Regulatory Affairs PNC.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2 years of regulatory compliance experience in pet feed, consumer products, pharmaceuticals or other regulated products.
- Ability to independently research, understand and interpret regulatory and technical documents.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities; results-oriented; process-driven; resilient
