We are seeking an experienced attorney to join Zoox's Legal team to support our growing commercial contracts, real estate, and land use needs. This role will be responsible for handling complex commercial contracts, supply chain agreements, real estate transactions, and providing strategic legal counsel on land use matters as we expand our autonomous vehicle operations.
In this role, you will:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial, partnership, and strategic deals and contractsLead and manage complex commercial real estate, infrastructure, and fleet charging transactions, including leases, purchases, sales, and development agreementsProvide legal counsel on land use, zoning, and permitting matters; support facility expansion and charging infrastructure projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Real Estate, Facilities, Finance, and Business DevelopmentQualifications:
JD degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the California State Bar6+ years of relevant legal experience, with significant focus on commercial contracts, commercial lease negotiations and real estate developmentExperience with commercial contract drafting and negotiationsStrong project management and organizational abilitiesOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsBonus Qualifications:
Prior in-house counsel experience at a technology or automotive companyExperience with autonomous vehicle, technology and/or transportation industriesExperience with construction contracts and fleet charging infrastructure transactions
