Zoox is seeking an experienced Embedded Software & FPGA Engineer to join our Advanced Hardware Engineering team and help lead the development of safety-critical automated test infrastructures, focusing on sensors and ECUs.
In This Role, You Will:
Contribute to and lead the development of multi-disciplinary embedded systems projects for mission-critical validationOwn product lifecycles from concept, to development, to deliveryArchitect, implement, and maintain robust C++ applications for embedded Linux systems and FPGA designsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build and enhance testing infrastructureQualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience3+ years of experience with production-level FPGA developmentStrong C++ development skills, with a focus on low-latency and high-performance code in user and kernel spaceExperience with System Verilog and HDL VerificationExperience with Python and test automation with PytestExperience with Git, build systems (e.g., Bazel), and unit testing frameworks (e.g., GTest)Proficiency with analyzing electronic schematicsExperience with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CANBonus Qualification
Experience with Yocto or PetalinuxKnowledge of CI build and test infrastructureExperience with high speed protocols like PCIe and MIPI CSI-2Experience with with containerization Hands on experience with Xilinx MPSoC platformsKnowledge of PCB design and manufacturing workflowsAbout Zoox
