Zoox is looking for a Test Engineer to build test solutions for manufacturing the electronic platform that underpins our autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of tests for critical components of the controls and compute system, including custom PCIe devices, networking solutions, and other PC components. You will work cross-functionally with our electrical engineering and software teams to develop and test new products and technologies.

In this role, you will:
Build and release test solutions for use on the manufacturing lines at Zoox and at contract manufacturing partnersDevelop testing scripts and code to verify functionality, control test instruments, capture test parameters, and analyze results for continuous improvementWork cross-functionally to implement the correct test coverage across all phases of manufacturing (PCBA, module, system, vehicle)Release updated test programs for new generations of hardware and software for networking and related product familiesSupport the test and validation of prototype designsEstablish best practices and drive continuous improvement for improving test deployments, runtimes, and yieldsQualifications
BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical degree4+ years of industry experience or equivalent, including expertise in manufacturing and production testing of electronic assemblies; knowledge of NPI testing and validation is a strong plus.Experience with developing manufacturing tests of electronic hardware, such as network switches, sensors, computing devices, etc.Experience with Python, shell (bash) scripting, and the Linux platform. Knowledge of factory automation frameworks, such as Ignition, and commonly used Python frameworks, such as pytest.Ability to debug failures using terminal commands (e.g. lshw) as well as common test and measurement equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.Bonus Qualifications
