The Team & Role
As a Technical Implementation Consultant - Enterprise SaaS Software, you will play a key role in implementing Zuora Billing and CPQ solutions for enterprise customers. Collaborating closely with Solution Architects, Technical Consultants, customers, and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment, optimizing subscription management and recurring revenue operations.
The Technical Consultant has a high proficiency in translating business problems into solutions, leveraging the out-of-the-box configuration capabilities of Zuora as well as technical solutions based on Zuora APIs, data exports and load, and advanced configuration.
The Technical Consultant manages multiple complex tasks and priorities while maintaining the ability to engage with team members and clients in a professional and timely manner.
This is a location-specific position that requires you to come into the office regularly to be most effective.
Zuora Costa Rica office (Heredia): Multiple office days with some remote flexibility.
25% travel required for customer on-site engagements in North America and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Solution Architect and other team members to ensure proper application of all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and that completion dates are met
- Configure Zuora to fulfill customer’s use cases
- Identify areas of complexity, propose technical solutions, and document solutions
- Collaborate on several concurrent projects, which could include coding and design, coordinating new releases, or documenting projects
- Provide the client with the expertise on the Zuora API, integration technical best practices, and data export and load
- Develop and test programs that are easily maintainable.
Your experience
- Have a good understanding of software development concepts and experience with Web technologies like REST APIs, HTML, HTTP cookies, Javascript, MySQL, and Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Cloudfront)
- Have a good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Familiarity with APIs (REST, SOAP) for system integrations.
- Familiarity with coding or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or SQL.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to learn and work on multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work well with a team of highly talented software professionals in a rapid development environment
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience in an Agile development environment preferred
- Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies
Preferred
- Salesforce and APEX development experience is a plus
- Experience with ERP solutions or integrating with ERP systems such as NetSuite/Oracle or SAP is a plus
- Previous consulting experience implementing software solutions is a plus
- Experience in Quote-to-Cash, Order-to-Revenue, Billing, CPQ, finance, or subscription management implementations.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Workday) integrations is a plus
- Experience with data migration and system integration strategies.
