We have a new Lumerate brand opportunity in the healthcare space and we’re seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to launch it and grow it.  

Who is Lumerate?  We help our customers achieve the full picture of their industries. We also strive to achieve our own personal full pictures from a career fulfillment and learning perspective. We’re in the business of gathering intelligence about industries and delivering it to the right people within those industries through innovative software interfaces.  Our vision is to be the world's most useful and trusted source of information for professionals seeking to understand what's happening in their industry.  

Our mission:  To deliver industry awareness to an ever-increasing number of people, in whatever way helps them to make the most informed decisions, take the most immediate action and be the most awesome at their unique jobs.

We started the company under the Zymewire name ten years ago, which was also the name of our first product.  As the Zymewire product grew it became clear that we were onto something good with our technology platform model.  Zymewire is an intelligence tool designed for sales professionals in the biotech and pharma service provider space to understand what is happening in their niches.  We have over 350 clients using Zymewire.  The model we’ve developed is that we can launch new brands and products on top of the same technology platform by changing the input data and changing the target market we go after.  This framework allows for entirely new brands to be spun out to pursue new opportunities while maintaining a high degree of autonomy among brands and brand teams.  We’ve launched two additional brands now, Zapyrus and Crofter, under this framework. 

We want you to launch the 4th.   

We’ve already lined up several early customer champions that fit the early adopter profile, and we have a business plan ready to start iterating on.  

We take an experiment-driven approach to most things we do, so the early part of the role will be speaking to early adopters that are asking for a solution to their problems.  

We can provide the technology that will enable you to deliver a product.  You will build up the customer base, connect up data sources and build out a team to scale the operation.  

We are on the lookout for: 

  • Someone who has confident humility: You know that you don’t have all the answers, but you are confident in your ability to seek out and discover the answers.  
  • Someone based in Canada or the United Kingdom.  
  • A person with selling experience or customer-interfacing experience. 
  • You’ve either launched your own business before and have a strong foundation of knowledge about healthcare delivery and patient flow, OR you’ve worked in a company that sells its products/services to healthcare professionals or healthcare organizations. 
  • You have a basic understanding of biochemistry and genetics. 
  • You have an above average understanding of how new drugs and devices are brought through US regulatory approval. 
  • You consider yourself to be above average when it comes to spreadsheets and manipulating data. 
  • You get energized by speaking to other people multiple times per day. 
  • You have experience implementing processes for your peers to follow in a company setting
  • You are a strategic thinker. 
  • You have experience as a people leader in either a professional or volunteer capacity. 

Start Date:  December 20th, 2022

Reports to: Pete Bastedo (CEO), as part of the brand incubator division
