Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Immunology with deep expertise in T cell biology and CAR-T therapies. This position requires proficiency in immunology and and pre-clinical disease models. This individual will have the opportunity to be the pre-clinical lead and work in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment as part of a highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the design and execution of in vivo studies including humanized mice models pre-clinical models of Oncology, and NHP studies
  • Plan, schedule and manage in vivo studies with CROs and academic collaborators to meet project timelines
  • Design pre-clinical experimental strategy and closely collaborate with a cross-functional team to enable PoC experiments and DC nomination
  •  Manage and mentor a research team of scientists, review data and prepare summary decks for relevant meetings. Ensure timely completion of experiments and foster a culture of innovation with integrity
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work in the lab for in vivo experiments to help the team
  • Present at project team meetings and to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer biology, or related field with 8+ years of industry experience
  • Strong background in CAR-T, T cell engagers, and tumor immunology
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven track record of project management and mentorship skills
  • Experience with non-viral delivery technologies and nucleic acid modalities is preferred
  • Prior experience in developmental candidate nominations and IND filing
  • Outstanding strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
