About Alltrna

Alltrna is the world’s first tRNA platform company to decipher tRNA biology and pioneer tRNA therapeutics to treat thousands of diseases. Alltrna unlocks tRNA biology to correct disease. The company's platform incorporates AI/ML tools to learn the tRNA language and deliver diverse programmable molecules with broad therapeutic potential. Alltrna has an unprecedented opportunity to advance a single tRNA medicine to unify treatment across a wide range of diseases with the same underlying genetic mutation. Alltrna was founded in 2018 by Flagship Pioneering. For more info, visit www.alltrna.com.

About The Role

Come join a creative and collaborative team of scientists at Alltrna dedicated to leveraging emerging insights in RNA biology to develop a novel class of human therapeutics. In this role you will influence chemistry design by applying state-of-the-art computational chemistry approaches to ultimately find treatments for patients with unmet medical needs. You will also help to build an integrated data science platform that embraces FAIR data principles.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conceive and execute computational chemistry strategy in collaboration with Alltrna leadership team
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional biology, technology, and chemistry team to extend and automate the computational chemistry platform for rapid drug discovery
  • Build predictive models including QSAR and ML to drive efficiency and inform drug molecule design
  • Develop tools that support medicinal scientists in the representation and design of RNA drug molecules
  • Create molecular models of RNA and RNA/protein complexes and use these to enable insights into structural and biological properties
  • Create compelling data visualizations for critical internal and investor presentations
  • Develop, build, populate, and maintain platform-related databases and tools to query the information
  • Be a strong and vocal advocate for data quality and operation within FAIR data principles across the company
  • Help to build a world-class computational sciences team at Alltrna
