The Role:
FL68 is seeking a capable and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our expanding cell therapy team. This person will use their extensive in vivo experience to directly support the exploratory and pre-clinical assessments of FL68’s novel cell therapy platform, including contribute to the planning, execution, and analysis of in vivo studies. The candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be comfortable working in and contributing to a very dynamic and cross-functional team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, optimization, planning, and execution of in vivo experiments aimed to develop and optimize our novel cell therapy platform.
  • Work collaboratively with other internal teams to continuously develop novel animal models for proof of concept and therapeutic demonstrations.
  • Identify and proactively troubleshoot technical issues, implementing solutions under limited supervision.
  • Perform basic data analysis and presentation.
  • Assist in the maintenance of instruments and in reagent and supply ordering/inventory.
  • Maintain and support safe lab practices and environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. in life sciences, cell biology, immunology or related field with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Experience in the fundamentals of rodent animal handling skills, including dosing, preparation of test compounds, anesthesia, necropsy, and blood and tissue collection.
  • Experience with primary mammalian cell isolation and culturing.
  • Experience working with a diversity of mammalian cell lines.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing and executing cell-based assays.
  • Experience with basic flow cytometry sample preparation and data acquisition is required; advanced experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner.
  • Well organized, possesses extreme attention to detail, strong desire to make an impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly skilled teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technical setting.
