Position Summary:

Laronde is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to join our Analytical Development team.  The successful candidate will work alongside AD team members and contribute to our efforts to develop and implement methods for the eRNA platform.  The individual will contribute to advancement of our pipeline by collaboration with internal and external partners. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate should also possess the ability to successfully interface with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should be highly motivated, detail oriented and able to excel in a fast moving and goal-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, design, and execution of analytical experiments
  • Perform a variety of methods to assess product quality and characterize eRNA products, including chromatography, electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, ELISA and/or cell-based assays as needed
  • Deploy high throughput versions of the methods to assess preclinical materials
  • Perform data analysis and record highly detailed documentation of experiments in ELN system.
  • Present research results at internal meetings
  • Work with the process development team to characterize impact of process improvements
  • Support IND enabling manufacturing batches

 Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline
  • 3 years experience with BS or 1or more years related experience with MS
  • Hands-on experience with chromatography, electrophoresis, spectroscopy, immunoassays, cell-based assays and/or molecular biology techniques
  • Experience in maintaining a laboratory notebook and following protocols
  • Desire and drive to learn and understand the biological mechanisms underpinning our eRNA products
  • Highly organized team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple laboratory activities
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
