Lyft is looking for a Community Associate who is driven by providing world-class customer service to join our Rentals team. In this role you will act as the "face of Lyft," providing exceptional hospitality as you assist renters with their reservations. You will play a key role in operations behind the scenes, making sure vehicles are prepped (clean, washed and gassed) and providing renter support by chat and phone. If you enjoy working with your hands, love people and are a self-starter with a flexible schedule (including nights/weekends), we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional end-to-end service for our renters across three rental sites in the Bay Area (Oakland/San Francisco) 
  • Assist vendors to ensure vehicles meet Lyft’s brand standards. This includes assisting with vehicle cleaning and gassing
  • Support daily operations, including site opening and closing procedures, lot audits and customer outreach
  • Identify process improvements to improve the efficiency of the operation and the service we deliver
  • Flexible schedule: this role requires evenings, weekends and holidays 

Experience:

  • Retail, customer service or rental car experience 
  • High-energy individuals who love talking to people!
  • Comfortable delivering service across many platforms including virtual (email, phone calls) and in-person
  • Thrive in ambiguous situations and love tackling complex problems
  • Has strong attention to detail and is a great multitasker 
  • Has strong verbal and written communication and proficiency with common technology tools 
  • Comfortable working outdoors and can stand for long periods of time
  • Is a strong operator, willing to perform manual tasks as needed
  • Has a valid have a valid driver's license and is comfortable transporting vehicles 
  • Has a satisfactory driving record and is insurable under Lyft's policy
