Our digital security team is charged with ensuring our services are built with cyber security at the forefront of our thinking. The team addresses the growing complexity of delivering our services in the increasingly distributed manner our growing business roadmap mandates. Working directly for the Head of Information and Intelligence, lead a team that defines and drives Lyft’s information and digital security strategy and operational execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to information and digital security team for all operations
  • Manage and grow a team of information and digital security technicians while providing development, mentorship, and excitement to exceed team and department goal
  • Provide oversight to manage the design, development, and maintenance of information and digital security services
  • Be the ‘go-to’ leader for multiple cross-functional teams to define information and digital security vision, outline the priorities and layout the tactical executions
  • Translate customer and internal user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the digital landscape
  • Guide and interface closely with Analytics/Science, Design and Engineering leaders to define scope, review, and refine technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
  • Ensure the efficacy of threat intelligence data assists in improving Lyft’s security, reduces false positives and provides actionable remediation advice
  • Manage and drive partner strategies programs for security enhancements
  • Track and monitor current happenings within the industry and represent Lyft at events
  • Work with architects and development leaders to design an appropriate forward-leaning security posture for our internal systems and deployed platforms
  • Define and drive training programs, tailored to specific teams across the company
  • Work to establish a culture where everyone can be themselves, is committed to uplifting others, and is capable of making it happen. Serve as a model and leader for positive change
  • Staying knowledgeable around the cutting edge of information and digital security, and bring that knowledge as lessons to the company

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading small and large teams, shaping culture, and driving outcomes while providing development, mentorship, and excitement to exceed team and department goals
  • Minimum of 10 years in cyber security or relevant experience in tech-related field
  • An academic background in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical audiences
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills across a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Ability to remain flexible and thrive in ambiguity
  • Positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
