Lyft is hiring an experienced Financial Analyst to cover hardware programs for the Transit, Bikes and Scooters (TBS) line of business. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in helping build a financial foundation for a rapidly growing, recently public company. The analyst will be responsible for building out the arm responsible for driving strategic product development and technology investment decisions for Lyft’s internally developed vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Create strong business partnerships with TBS Hardware Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams, and represent the finance organization in engineering and product decisions 
  • Provide scenario analysis support to help Hardware teams understand financial impact of Bike & Scooter product investment decisions
  • Cultivate deep understanding of Hardware product development lifecycles and translate into financial forecasts
  • Track spending across all relevant hardware teams including procurement, supply and engineering and provide hardware forecasting for future products
  • Assist in the annual strategic planning process
  • Partner effectively with the accounting team to assist in the monthly and quarterly close process
  • Prepare executive-grade reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations

Experience:

  • BA/BS with 3+ years of experience in hardware, R&D or strategic finance at a fast paced high tech company
  • Experience developing analytical frameworks and communicating financial concepts to leadership
  • Self-starter capable of operating autonomously and driving projects with high performance
  • Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong Google Sheet, Google Doc and Excel skills
  • Tableau, Anaplan, Oracle experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
