Lyft is looking for an experienced Fleet Specialist to join our Charlotte, NC Express Drive team! In this role, you will lead vehicle management and drive process improvements to increase utilization. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day fleet operations of an Express Drive location
  • Build a strong culture of delivering best in class fleet management standards
  • Manage relationships with various partners including insurance agencies, collision centers, etc. Collaborate with internal/external fleet management partners
  • Manage PO process with collision centers, insurance adjusters, and HQ to ensure collision centers are paid in a timely matter
  • Continuously find ways to improve fleet operations by reviewing cost analyses of service and maintenance. 
  • Manage and continually reduce vehicle out of service time across market
  • Own utilization by prioritizing getting vehicles rental ready for Lyft Drivers
  • Flag vehicle issues, program challenges, and bugs to internal/external partners
  • Lead regular team meetings and maintain appropriate documents to ensure team members are kept informed and trained on the latest business updates and processes
  • Report on business and team performance metrics
  • Assist the Driver Service team with escalations as necessary
  • Lead ongoing fleet management training to ensure operational excellence
  • Represent Lyft's brand, mission, and culture both inside and outside of the organization

Experience:

  • 2+ years of fleet management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • You love operations: Motivation, engagement, and development come naturally
  • You can identify problems and work to solve them quickly, continuously improving standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Always a team player: You're positive, optimistic, and willing to help out wherever needed
  • Self-directed and organized: You have a bias for action while maintaining attention to detail
  • Embody servant leadership and operational excellence 
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
