Lyft is looking for a bright, hard-working Learning and Engagement Specialist to join our Outreach Innovation (OI) team! In this role, you will be responsible for all logistical activities of OI’s learning and development programs. You will generate creative and innovative solutions, maintain a strategic approach to all tasks, and be comfortable working with individuals from various backgrounds and differing opinions. You will focus on bettering our new hire onboarding processes, facilitate trainings, create and maintain team training materials, while keeping team engagement top of mind. You love creating learning content that ensures the success of all team members. You embody our entrepreneurial spirit and will go the extra mile to execute tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Spend your time leading by example while becoming an expert in all information and processes specific to your assigned areas of focus
  • Support and coach team members during their onboarding process
  • Develop content/curriculum for onboarding and new business objectives
  • Facilitate trainings needed to support business objectives
  • Create a personalized, positive and effortless experience for onboarding new hires
  • Make recommendations and implement operational improvements
  • Ensure your team members are set up for success by providing information and resources necessary to complete their given tasks 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of team overall best practices
  • Work with leadership to create and facilitate workshops that focus on a variety of skill building 
  • Create engaging activities that promote community for those in Nashville and our Partnersite 
  • Manage peer-to-peer mentorship programs 
  • Participate in train-the-trainer activities to ensure all information is delivered with learning and communication styles in mind
  • Work alongside Optimization and Innovation Specialists to support building training materials for experiments and new processes

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, along with experience in instructional design and / or developing learning content
  • Experience in creating and facilitating training on frequent new materials
  • Demonstrated effective planning and organizing skills, with ability to manage multiple work assignments
  • Excellent presentation skills, giving and creating 
  • Experience with Jira 
  • End-to-End Project ownership 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, thrives with autonomy 
  • A great listener who is outstanding with documentation
  • Proven ability to create inclusive team environments 
  • Strong track record of setting goals, making a plan, and getting results
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
