The Product Manager for Machine Learning Experience will focus on creating an optimized experience for scientists and engineers in their work creating the models that drive Lyft’s results. The quality and reliability of our machine learning tools directly contribute to Lyft's ability to produce quality and timely results across its entire product line - e.g. Pricing, marketing optimization, Level 5 self-driving, driver and passenger incentives and many others.

The teams across Lyft rely on Big Data tools and platforms to access and process data both in real-time and in offline modes and link features and models into complete machine learning pipelines that would be used in a variety of production scenarios. These tools need to be more accessible and flexible to increase our speed to market with new features.

The Machine Learning Platform team is looking for a product manager that enjoys creating great technology that scales to support our entire business in the fast moving machine learning space.

Responsibilities:

• The Machine Learning Platform team is responsible for creating machine learning tools and systems and gaining successful adoption to enable Science and machine learning software engineer’s power Lyft’s decisions with machine Learning. The Machine Learning Experience (sub team of Machine Learning Platform) team drives our work to simplify and democratize creating and optimizing machine learning models
• This role is focused on creating and driving the strategy for Lyft’s model experience infrastructure. This includes getting the right experience for scientist and machine learning engineers across UX tooling and command line based tooling, helping our model creator succeed in their usage, and driving market innovations into Lyft in machine learning
• Will be collaborating with other machine learning Product Managers, Engineering managers across machine learning and key customers like Pricing,Mapping, and Science leadership

Experience:

• 5+ years successful product management experience shipping developer focused tools
• An academic background in an engineering or quantitative discipline
• Familiarity with machine learning modeling workflows and basics of Data Science feature selection and engineering, different machine learning model families, optimization considerations for machine learning models, deployment and serving challenges
• Familiarity with machine learning platforms = TensorFlow, PyTorch, SKLearn
• Knowledge of big data systems = Spark, Hadoop, Kubernetes
• Served previously in a Data Science or Machine Learning Engineer role
