At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.
The Autonomous Infrastructure team is responsible for creating and maintaining the systems that engineers rely on in order to make autonomous driving a reality. We build powerful, flexible, enabling infrastructure that allows software developers to move and innovate fast.
As an infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for building and operating the foundational pieces and frameworks of our cloud footprint. You will focus on things like security, observability, provisioning, scheduling and deployments.
Every day we compile millions of lines of code, drive thousands of miles in simulation, process hundreds of Terabytes of data and scale up or down thousands of compute instances. All of these rely on the foundation that we build and operate for the whole autonomous vehicle program. If you are excited to help drive this mission, we should talk!

- Support the Autonomous organization in their cloud needs by providing an amazing developer experience while balancing organizational needs, timelines and costs
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Software Engineering and Computer Science fundamentals with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience designing resilient architectures with public cloud offerings (AWS is a must)
- Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) and observability (e.g. Stackdriver, Wavefront) stacks
